For most of my life, I have believed that because things have been a certain way for a long time that they will continue to be that way, forever and ever …. The truth is, I know NOTHING.Things could change for better or for worse in an instant. A lesson I have learnt in the last one year .
To me, a bend in the road symbolizes a change in direction. Births, deaths, illness, triumphs, defeats, all bends along the path called LIFE. In life, there are seldom clear-cut beginnings, yet there are moments when fate intersects with our daily lives, setting in motion a sequence of events whose outcome we could never have foreseen.
I don’t know what lies around this bend, but I’m going to believe that the best does ….. ( From Anne of Green Gables)
January 31 2018 – Sky gazers across the world were treated today to a rare celestial event dubbed as “super blue blood moon.” Rare because it is a combination of lunar eclipse, blood moon and super moon , visible in the western hemisphere for the first time in 152 years. There won’t be another so-called “super blue blood moon” until 2037.

What is the best way to not look into the past ??? How does one move forward without any pain whatsoever. A couple of things have helped me –
And my work.
Unless I am completely busy the old thoughts come rolling back. They negate all my hard work and I fall back into a hopeless pit.. Embracing midlife can be a daunting task especially when you have a special needs child. And creating a work life balance makes it harder. The tendency to work harder when under stress due to several reasons narrows the focus and short-circuits the very habits that helps me cope……
The time has come where I need to listen to my inner voice/calling and start to meditate and focus on spirituality. Life has not been easy these past few months .The quality of life has been declining and most times I am stressed and feel nervous about the future.
But I have also realized that to have a better future I should work on my present moments. Just speculating on what might happen and worrying about the unknown is getting me nowhere. All it is doing is taking away my precious PRESENT !!! It is freezing me from performing what is needed.
I need to sit relax and meditate on a plan of action for what is at stake currently and challenge myself to do my best. The rest I need to leave and not worry about as said in Bhagawad Geetha :
Maa Phaleshu Kadachana,
Maa Karma Phala Hetur Bhur
Maa Te Sangostva Akarmani”
Chapter 2, Sloka 47
Meaning -You have the right to perform your actions, but you are not entitled to the fruits of the actions.
Do not let the fruit be the purpose of your actions, and therefore you won’t be attached to not doing your duty….
CARE DEEPLY but not to the point of being blinded by love leading to inaction.

The true meaning of the life lies gently beneath the surface . Our challenges are what help define us as a person and what guides us to becoming who we are . What greater challenge can there be than staying calm under tremendous pressure ?? More so, if that is our own fear , anxiety, depression, desolation, and despair….
FAITH and HOPE are the two ingredients that help us cross the cruel and endless sea of life.
This could mean several things . But in this instance I mean tone down ones expectations. Age certainly has helped me tone down the lofty expectations I had, but they have never fully disappeared…
It is one of those things that is like a heavy baggage that one carries around all the time.If we allow expectations to determine the happiness we feel in regards to a certain situation, the chances that we will be satisfied are slim.
In all reality, if things always happened the way we hoped or expected, life would be utterly predictable and completely unexciting. The possibilities in life are endless, but if we are resistant to letting life unfold as it is meant to, we tend to paint unexpected occurrences in a negative light…..
Let go !!!!! Holding on to expectations goes against life’s flow. It makes reality unbearable when it doesn’t need to be…
Managing ones expectations is key to happiness.
