This could mean several things . But in this instance I mean tone down ones expectations. Age certainly has helped me  tone down the lofty expectations I had, but they have never fully disappeared…

It is one of those things that is like a heavy baggage that one carries around all the time.If we allow expectations to determine the happiness we feel in regards to a certain situation, the chances that we will be satisfied are slim.

In all reality, if things always happened the way we hoped or expected, life would be utterly predictable and completely unexciting. The possibilities in life are endless, but if we are resistant to letting life unfold as it is meant to, we tend to paint unexpected occurrences in a negative light…..

Let go !!!!!  Holding on  to expectations goes against life’s flow. It makes reality unbearable when it doesn’t need to be…

Managing ones expectations is key to happiness.

Pink Invasion of the landscape around Ridgewood

With spring in full bloom, there’s no better time to enjoy Ridgewood. When it comes to photographing flowers, your unique viewpoint plays an important role to your final results.  You stand before trees and  fields in full bloom, and while it’s beautiful in your eyes, the ability to translate its majesty through the lens requires a few techniques!!

Spend a few moments taking in the scenery and contemplating which parts of nature speak loudest.

United Methodist Church

The church is at the corner of Dayton and Prospect streets, facing Van Neste Square and the town green. Its tall, modern steeple is the highest structure in the area.

United Methodists insist that faith and good works belong together. They believe that Christian doctrine and Christian ethics are inseparable, that faith should inspire service.

Soaking in the Vitamin D…

Watching the sun rise through the clouds from my living room is a pleasure .The days it is sunny I try to soak in and enjoy the warmth of the big ball of fire and wonder at the glory of nature.

I have been unable to take many pictures as the pain in my wrists has gotten worse. I have been diagnosed with De Quervain syndrome . Need a surgery pretty soon. Will have to take a break for a while as use of the thumb is extremely painful 😦

In the meanwhile will post as and when I feel my passion reignited even with the intense pain…
